Tom Delay got the charges against him concerning conspiracy to violate Texas election code thrown out today [msnbc]. The money laundering charges were upheld.
It is important to note that the charges were thrown out not because they had no basis, but the fact that conspiracy to violate the election code was not a violation until Sept 2003. Delay conspired to violate election code in Sept 2002, so he’s just fine.
This man is worse than a flesh-eating cat or even a large rock in Washington.
